Guided by Kariyarra Traditional Owners and seasoned industry leaders, Kariyarra Mining Services supports mining and industrial clients across Kariyarra Country and the Pilbara. We provide mechanical, remedial, scaffolding and fabrication services while creating local jobs, training pathways and community programs that strengthen the region.
Kariyarra people are the Traditional Owners who have continuous connection and existence in Kariyarra country which encompasses 17,354 square kilometers of land river, and sea. After 20 years in Native Title court proceedings, Kariyarra people were recognised and received their determination in December 2018 as the traditional custodians of their traditional lands.
Kariyarra people have always traded with other language groups and adapted to new ways of working through the traditional cultural trade system, which Kariyarra people continue today through their traditional cultural customs and practices which had been carbon dated back to 26,000 years of continuous occupation on country.
Kariyarra people today have been given opportunities through their Native Title determination and recognition through their connections and rights as traditional owners, which has led to successful Joint Business opportunities in the wider mining industry community and business partners.
Kariyarra people are visionary people with extensive experience and knowledge of their communities needs and see wealth creation to have continuous sustainability, empowerment, leadership and ongoing economic development in their communities for the generations to come.
